My computer is fried and my warranty ran out which they didn’t feel like telling me until after I sent it away which is… So fun.
Anyway, I will be on indefinite hiatus until such a time that my poor ass can scrap together money for a computer. Try not to cry too much, now.
He thought a moment. “Well ‘Melicertes’ isn’t very well known these days, though it does stand out as not very common. What would you suggest for a name?”
"What do you think about Zabat for a last name?" She smiled, "Or you could keep the one you use now. Nothing wrong with it… Could you get used to a new name at this point? I know it was hard for me…"
I thought Tyche only blessed cities. Or am I mistaken?
I thought the whole issue with Nemesis was that Tyche blessed people unfairly?
Gods in particular are not good at that trait. Maybe we will just have to pay for a teacher for that.
If you insist, maybe Mel could help out in that department. Less costly that way.
“Well you are the spirit of pleasure, and red is associated with desire … Not to mention your hair color.” He said, reddening himself a bit at her teasing.
"Well, I’m glad it fits." She shrugged, "And if you ever need a better name, I could help you."
Anything I can do to help my luck, dearest?
Just keep being you. Maybe pray to Tyche, she’s usually quite favorable.
*smiles* Good, I’d like to keep hearing that from you for a long time.
If you’re lucky, you will.
“It fits though, ‘red paradise’,” He mused, it rarely came up but given that his gradfather had brought writing to Greece. Etymology and the study of language itself was something he sometimes attempted to catch up on. “Much better human name then mine … Which is just my real name.”
"Not all of us can be so creative." She teased, "Although mine is more vain than creative, I admit." She smiled and bit her lower lip, "You think it fits, really?"
He nodded, taking a mental note should he come across it. “Interesting …” He then laughed. “Did you really go by ‘Eden Kokinos’ as a student?”
"Hedone kind of sticks out. I just liked it. Eden was close to Hedone so I would actually pay attention. Kokinos, well…" Hedone felt a bit embarrassed by her choice of name, rather vain really to name yourself after your red hair but… she thought it was cute.
